Carcloud.com runs a car rental operator’s direct channels: the website and booking flow, the B2B portal, booking confirmations and messaging, online check-in, and an AI agent that quotes and books. It does this on top of the reservation system the operator already uses. It does not manage fleet, contracts, damage, billing or counter operations, and it is not a replacement for TSD, Wheelsys, Rental Car Manager, CARS+, RentWorks, CarPro, Rent Centric, Era, Wizard or EHI. Every booking made through a Carcloud channel is created in the operator’s reservation system.
Where Carcloud sits
Think of three layers.
The reservation system holds the fleet, the rates, the contracts and the operational truth. That is TSD, Wheelsys, RCM and the rest. Operators choose it for the back office and usually keep it for a decade.
The direct channels are everything a renter touches that belongs to the operator rather than to an intermediary: the website, the booking flow, the confirmation email, the text message, the check-in link, the chat. This is Carcloud.
The intermediaries are OTAs, brokers, comparison sites and, increasingly, AI assistants. They sit between the renter and the operator and charge for the introduction.
Carcloud’s job is to make the second layer strong enough that more bookings arrive there instead of through the third, while the first layer stays exactly as it is.
What Carcloud reads and writes
From the reservation system, Carcloud reads live rates and availability, locations, vehicle categories, extras and existing bookings. Back to the reservation system, it writes new reservations, modifications, cancellations and check-in details. Rates are defined in the reservation system. The experience around each rate, meaning the booking flow, the messaging, the terms and the payment method, is defined in Carcloud.

Carcloud Web. The operator’s website and booking engine, including Carcloud B2B portals for corporate and partner business.
Carcloud AI Agent. A separate product. An agent that quotes live rates, books and modifies through the same reservation system connection, on the website, in any language.
Both run on one integration layer: live connections into every major reservation system, built over fifteen years, maintained by Carcloud and guaranteed for the life of the customer relationship, with millions of confirmed rentals and real card payments through them. Each of the ten connections has been live for over ten years.
What this means when you compare Carcloud to something else
If you are comparing Carcloud to a reservation or fleet system, the comparison does not work. Carcloud connects to those; it does not compete with them, and several of them recommend it.
If you are comparing Carcloud to a web agency or a website builder, the difference is the connection. An agency builds the front end and discovers the booking API for the first time on your project. A builder gives you a template with an enquiry form. Carcloud has run the connection to your system for years and the site, the confirmations, the check-in and the agent all use it.
