About CARS+ and Carcloud
CARS+ is Thermeon’s reservation and fleet system. Carcloud.com connects to it and does not replace it. Carcloud runs the website, booking flow, confirmations, check-in and AI agent on the CARS+ connection.
What runs on the CARS+ connection
Carcloud Web. Live rates and availability read from CARS+. Instant booking, with the reservation created in CARS+ and confirmed to the renter immediately. View, modify and cancel for renters. Pay now, pay on pickup or a mix, set per rate. New vehicles detected from CARS+ automatically, so your team adds imagery and marketing copy rather than re-keying fleet.
Carcloud B2B. Corporate and partner portals on the same CARS+ connection, each with its own rates, login and terms.
Booking confirmations and messaging. Confirmation, modification and cancellation emails that vary by rate, vehicle, location or renter segment, with upsell offers where you want them. SMS for confirmations, pickup and return reminders.
Online check-in. Renters submit licence, contact and payment details before pickup, attached to the CARS+ booking, so the counter queue is shorter at peak.
Carcloud AI Agent. Quotes live rates from CARS+, books, modifies and answers questions in any language, on your website, through the same connection as the website.
CARS+ operators often run high-volume airport locations. Carcloud Web runs instant search with live rates on page load, pay now or pay on pickup per rate, and confirmations that vary by location, all as bookings in CARS+.
How the connection works
CARS+ is the system of record. Carcloud reads rates, availability, locations, vehicle categories and extras from CARS+, and writes reservations, modifications and cancellations back. Rates are defined in CARS+; the experience around each rate, meaning booking flow, messaging, terms and payment method, is defined in Carcloud. Your team can view real-time logs of your own bookings in the Carcloud admin panel and use them to diagnose reservation software issues without waiting on a developer. Carcloud also keeps its own logs of every API rate request, quote, booking, issue and response time, which our support team can access to support you. The connection is maintained by Carcloud and guaranteed for the life of the customer relationship.

Operators around the world run their websites on the Carcloud CARS+ connection today, and have done for years; we do not name customers on this page, but we will show you a live site on request. Across all reservation systems Carcloud.com has confirmed millions of rentals for car rental companies worldwide, and has worked in car rental exclusively for fifteen years.
Moving to CARS+
If you are moving onto CARS+ and your website is already on Carcloud, it does not need to be rebuilt. Carcloud connects the same site to CARS+. Carcloud works with all major reservation platforms, so a change of reservation system does not mean a change of website.
